MARTIN REITER - Piano

born 1978 in Vienna, studied jazz-piano in Linz, Vienna, The Hague and in NYC (amongst others with Rob van Kreeveld, Fred Hersch and Bill Charlap). Over the last couple of years he developed from a jazz newcomer (Hans Koller Award 2005) into a bandleader creating his own musical language. His debut album ''Chez es Saada''(2005) drew European wide attention. Currently his second CD release 'Alma'(2007) attracts worldwide attention from Brazil to Senegal, from Switzerland to Asia. Lately he has been successfully working as an arranger and composer for Universal Edition, the Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra, the Lungau Big Band, the Robert Bachner Big Band or the Vienna Jazz Composers Ensemble et al.

BERTL MAYER - Harmonica

born 1958 in Vienna, son of a professional musician (pianist, arranger), he started taking piano lessons as a young child, at the age of 16 he learned to play the harmonica by himself and started working with different rock bands. Thereafter his engagement with jazz in different styles increased. Longtime collaborations with guitarists such as Karl Ratzer and Alegre Correa and pianist Paul Urbanek. Concerts and'or CDs with the Vienna Art Orchestra, Mark Murphy, Wolfgang Puschnig, Karl Hodina and many more.

MARTIN EBERLE trumpet, flugelhorn

born 1981 in Dornbirn (Austria), studied from 2001 每 2004 at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium classical trumpet, before starting his jazz studies with Bert Joris at the Hochschule der K邦nste in Bern/Switzerland. Since 2007 he has been living and working in Vienna. Martin Eberle is one of the founding members of the Jazzorchester Vorarlberg. Last year he attracted attention at the Jazzwerkstatt Wien. Otherwise he is on stage with bands like Flip Philipp & Ed Partyka Dectett, Phil Yaeger´s BrandX or the Sinfonieorchester Vorarlberg.

PETER KRONREIF Drums

born 1982 in Salzburg, began playing the drums at the age of 10. After one semester at the Kunst-Universität-Graz he changed to the Anton-Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, taking lessons with Doug Hammond, Joris Dudli and Jeff Bedreaux. This is where he met Matthias Pichler, the two musicians formed the best Austrian rhythm group for jazz. During his first stay in New York in 2003 he established contacts with some American jazz celebrities. Peter participates successfully in various groups and projects. Collaborations, among others, are with Martin Reiter, Phil Nykrin, Julia Fischer and Harry Sokal.

MATTHIAS PICHLER Bass

born 1981 in Rum (Austria), began playing the trumpet at the age of 10, aged 15 he started to study bass at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. 2000 he changed to the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz taking lessons with Adelhard Roidinger, that's where he caught the attention of Harry Sokal, who invited him to join his Trio. Since then he has become indispensable in Austria's jazz scene as sideman of Peter O Mara, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Herwig Gradischnig or Martin Reiter. 2005 he received the HANS KOLLER AWARD NYC 每 scholarship and one year later the HANS KOLLER AWARD for sideman of the year.
