In the evening of 10th, April, the Imperial Granary is about to give its warmest welcome to seventeen most representative Italian Jazz masters. By then, their four jazz bands will successively perform in this Imperial Granary. When the thick walls reflect the shimmering waves of Mediterranean, this is the first romatic trip through time and space. In the night of the forthcoming visit of the lunar rainy day in China, not only the fans will be enchanted, but these jazz artists will also have an unforgettable night.
Invited by Embassy of Italy in China, these four bands represent the highest level of jazz music. Their performances will be a great and authentic Italian treat for ears.
3 Quietmen Jazz Band displays a perfect combination of drum, bass and keyboard. They come from the capital of chocolate, the sweetest place of Italy ¨C Torino. Their music is bold and wild with the charming elements of stubbornness. This band is comprised of Ramon Moro (Trumpet player, Federico Marchesano (Bassist) and Dario Bruna (Drum, Percussion and Marimba player).
Manomanouche & Voice Jazz Band has the players with well-rounded professional experiences. They dedicate to explore the Swing dance in Italy during the 1930s and the 1950s. During their frequent performances, they present individual styles and the impromptu characteristics of Swing Manouche. They aim to spread the Manouche Gypsy culture and the traditional music to many more people. This band is comprised of Elena (singer), Nunzio Barbieri (Guitarist), Luca Enipeo (Guitarist), Jino Touche (Bassist) and Max Pitzianti (Accordion).
Group Q Band combines jazz, especially the experimental music, to separate any ¡®mainstream¡¯ and commonly used language. His collective ideas of music rely on the connection and empathy among musicians, various styles, the elegant music of Europe and the electric techniques so as to demonstrate an unusual jazz scene. This band is comprised of Michele Benvenuti (Composer, Trombone player), Niccol¨° Faraci (composer, Bassist, Electrio Bassist), Francesco Pinetti (Marimba player), Ferdinando Fara¨° (Drummer, Percussion player) and Attila Faravelli (Electric music and Location Filming).
Ivan Valentini, the soul figure of Ivan Valentini ¡®Slanting¡¯ Quintet, is Italian¡¯s famous jazz player and composer. This band aims to lead the contemporary jazz tides and integrate the European impromptu and Northern American traditional jazz. This band is comprised of Ivan Valentini (Saxophonist), Paolo Botti (Viola, Banjo), Alberto Capelli (Guitarist), Enrico Lazzarini (Bassist) and Andrea Burani (Drummer)
