Rony Holan - Drums

Rony was born in Jerusalem. In 1980 he moved to France for 5 years to complete his musical studies, while working as a musician. During this period, he played with a number of top musicians including Martial Solal, Jean-Pierre Debarbat Jean- Loup Longnon and, in 1984; he played in the Big Band of Monte Carlo. In the last 10 years Rony is the Head of the Drums Department of the acclaimed academy Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. Rony regularly plays in theatrical productions in Tel Aviv. He has also played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in their Homage to Leonard Bernstein concert. In 1999, Rony wrote music for Hallil Gibran¡¯s masterpiece ¡°The Prophet¡±. Rony is one of the outstanding Jazz musicians in Israel and is often invited to play with top international performers, such as David Liebman, Sam Rivers, Benny Golson, James Moody, Eddy Daniels, Lou Solof and Frank Gambale among many others. He has also taken part in various Jazz shows at the annual Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat, Israel. Rony wrote the musical methods: ¡°Rhythm for All¡± I and II (translated to Chinese!), ¡°Fifty Ways to Love Your Drumming¡±, ¡°Rony Holan Teaches Drums¡± and ¡°Polyrhythm¡¯s for the Drumset¡±.

Micu Narunsky - Piano

Israeli born pianist Micu Narunsky lives in South Africa where he is pursuing a Masters Degree at the University of Cape town. Micu studied in New York and Canada, where his teachers included Richie Bierach, Dave liebman, Dave Holland, Muhal Richard Abrams and others. Micu lived and worked in Israel for ten years in which time he taught at the Rimon School of Jazz & Contemporary Music and performed in clubs and festivals. He then moved to Paris where he spent seven years teaching and performing with likes of Tony Rabeson , John Betch and Philip mace' among others. Micu has recorded and performed with the likes of Dave Liebman, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Sheila jordan, Drew Gress ,Ronan Guilfoyle, Phil Haynes and the Israel Philharmonic orchestra. Micu's latest album, Common Ground, has just been released in the US and is a duo with saxophonist and UCT professor Mike Rossi. Micu performed in Ireland, Belgium, France, Israel and South-Africa. He is now pursuing his passion for winemaking in the Cape of Good Hope.

Yorai Oron - Bass Guitar

Studied and graduated at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston for which he received a scholarship as a Summa Cum Laude. Yorai has played with the world's top jazz artists, including Dewey Redman, Kenny Warner, Frank Gambale, Didier Lockwood, Lenny Stern, Georgie Fame, Lalo Schifrin, Claudio Rodity and others. Yorai toured world wide with the Israeli singer NOA; a Universal Recording artist, and played on her international album Blue. He performed at international jazz festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreal, Ravena, Aacen, Quebec and the Red Sea Jazz Festivals. Currently Yorai Oron is a professor for jazz studies at the Rimon School of Jazz & Contemporary Music, and at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He remains working as a freelance musician and playing on different gigs, recordings and TV shows.

Hagai Amir- Sax

Graduate at the Rimon School of Jazz & Contemporary Music, and the Jerusalem Academy of Music. Awarded as the "2006 Israel¡¯s Jazz Player of the Year¡±. Hagai studied under Ron Carter, played with the Israeli singer Alon Olearchick, with the Avi Leibovich Orchestra, and working with Fresh Sound Records Hagai has recoded two albums with the "Hagiga" band.
